  Our Sir decided to bring along a green screen to help us edit and work out how it is used in the film industry.

 On Saturday, our school took us on this amazing trip to Bhurban. The place was simply so beautiful that after taking multiple photos and editing them, these are all my favourites which I choose.

  After a while, we decided to get some pictures for our characters and post them to be able to get an idea of what we went for. Maya: Ethan: Sophia:

 After days of deliberation, we finally decided on the actors to portray our characters. We decided on Shiza for Maya, Jalaludin for Ethan and Anna for Sophia. We had our reasons for choosing the actors. We choose Shiza for Maya because she was able to portray duality, calm professionalism while still showing a hint on tension underneath. Jalaludin cause he had aced Ethan`s panicked and scared personality. As for Anna for Sophia, she had the looks and the talent to pursue Anna`s panicked and shocked personality

  A few of my classmates, Absaam, Abdul Raheem and Inaya decided to have fun with our sir`s lights and make this short some what music video where I am the star!. It was so fun that everyone came together and got creative to make this music video. Youtube Video

  Finally, on our last day for our auditions, we had Anna and Remiel Nasser act out as Sophia, the assistant of Maya.   When me and my mother went to the market, we were able to get all the props I needed.

After accessing our storyboard, Absaam created a fantastic moodboard for our film intro, The Fractured Soul. This moodboard, filled with every little detail, is perfect and truly highlights our film's opening. scene 1: scene 2: scene 3:

  Since we almost had no time to practise yesterday, we decided to spend all our free time practising the lights in an empty room.  We used different gels and light colour to try and get the best result so we know what will work during our main shoot

  When Sir asked us to make a mind map for our foundation portfolio, I got to work and was able to make a great one for free on the website Miro and converted it into PDF form. Mind Map

  Today, on the sixth, Absaam, my team member was finally able to buy the last piece of equipment we needed for our foundation portfolio. Our equipment consists of two large lights, four big tripods, gel, one small tripod and two small lights.

  Since our teacher could not come today, we were given an assignment where we could choose any opening of any film to analyse. The film intro I chose was none other than Captain America: The Winter Soldier.    Captain America: The Winter Soldier The scene is taken from the opening of the Marvel movie Captain America: The Winter Soldier and follows Steve Rogers and Natasha Romanoff as they discover S.H.I.E.L.D. and its secret while battling a new enemy only known as The Winter Soldier . The scene, especially towards the end, shows how life has changed drastically. How Steve, after coming out of the ice, talks about how the quality of food has improved and how things such as the internet have made life easier.  The scene starts off with an establishing shot, which shows the location and the time, which is before sunrise.
